TORRINGTON, CT -- The Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation has awarded $40,350 in Rapid Response Grants to nonprofits providing for basic needs in Northwest Connecticut.
HARTFORD, CT -- United Way has made 12 awards in its first round of grants from its COVID-19 response fund, Neighbors in Need. The grants, totaling $127,000 will support local nonprofits in delivering important services to those most impacted by the pandemic. The awards will ensure that local families receive assistance related to rent; utilities; food; and, tele-health.
NEW HAVEN, CT -- Three weeks after distributing its first round of grants totaling $600,900, the Greater New Haven COVID-19 Community Fund has released a second round of grants totaling $677,000 to 36 organizations.
STAMFORD, CT -- United Way of Western Connecticut has partnered with Bank of America to assist Stamford residents struggling financially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds will help low-income and recently unemployed Stamford residents obtain healthy food.
