ENFIELD, CT -- The Enfield Food Shelf has received a $25,000 grant that will help it increase services for those in need as the community deals with the impact, financial and otherwise, of the novel coronavirus pandemic.The grant is part of the third round of funding from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, which launched the COVID-19 Response Fund in March.
HARTFORD, CT -- Travelers has pledged $5 million to coronavirus relief efforts, including the donation of hot meals to certain programs in the greater Hartford area helping those in need.
DERBY, CT -- The Valley Community Foundation (VCF) announced it has awarded a total of $19,592 in its annual Community Grants Program to 10 community groups serving the Valley. These grants will support health initiatives, students, athletics, and more in the region.
HARTFORD, CT -- Today, the City of Hartford announced important initiatives designed to remove barriers to testing for Hartford residents, reduce the transmission of the virus within the Hartford community, and increase awareness and understanding of the coronavirus’ disproportionate impact in communities of color. The initiatives include partnerships with Hartford HealthCare, Trinity Health Of New England, the University of Connecticut’s School of Medicine, United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, and CT Area Health Education Center (CT AHEC), as well as Federally Qualified Heath Centers.
