HARTFORD, CT -- Thanks to a three-year, $250,000 grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, more food pantries and their employees, volunteers and clients will be learning about the benefits of choosing healthy foods as often as possible.

NORWALK, CT - Stepping Stones Museum, Children’s Learning Centers of Connecticut (CLC), Filling in the Blanks, and Wholesome Wave are proud to announce their new collaboration titled Fueling Families. This five-week pilot program provides food, nutrition education and literacy support services for preschoolers in need in Stamford and Norwalk. Long Foundation, FactSet, Fairfield County Bank, First County Bank Foundation, Nestle Waters, People’s United Community Foundation, General Re, Palmer’s Darien, Bigelow Tea, and Bob’s Discount Furniture.
GROTON and NEW LONDON, CT -- Recent grants awarded to the Eastern Connecticut Community Gardens Association will support ongoing projects in Groton and New London. A grant from the Newman’s Own Foundation, given as part of the foundation’s food access and education mission, will support Grasso Technical High School’s farm-to-table programming.
