Broad National Tax Extenders Coalition letter - 9-10-15

Connecticut Council for Philanthropy (CCP), joined a national coalition of more than 2,000 businesses, associations, nonprofits and other stakeholders in sending a letter to Congress urging them to immediately restore the expired tax extenders provisions, including the IRA charitable rollover and enhanced deductions for donations of food inventory and conservation easements.

A Plan of One's Own: A Women's Guide to Philanthropy

This guide, a project of New Ventures in Philanthropy, a national initiative of the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, examines women's roles in philanthropy and features “how to” sections on creating and using a variety of forms of charitable giving, as well as working with professional advisors.

Philanthropy Awards

Find information on the CCP's three philanthropy awards: the John H. Filer Award which honors individual(s) who have demonstrated leadership in encouraging private action for the public good in Connecticut; the Martha S. Newman Award which honors an individual who has demonstrated outstanding staff performance in serving the philanthropic community; and the Nancy P. Roberts Award for innovation in philanthropy.

The Council compiles examples of the many ways in which Connecticut grantmakers provide funding and leadership in aging and help build communities for all ages.

Funder Networks

CCP convenes members around areas of interest, geography, foundation type and organizational position to build relationships, learn from one another, and influence grantmaking.
