BRISTOL, CT -- At their Annual Meeting & Grantee Reception on January 18, 2018, the Women & Girls’ Fund of Main Street Community Foundation awarded a record $51,111 in grants to 14 organizations serving women and girls in Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott.
NEW BRITAIN, CT -- The American Savings Foundation has awarded a $150,000 grant to support expansion of the Autism Center at Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, including development of a partial hospitalization program and an education and day center. Maria Falvo, president and CEO of American Savings Foundation, said the new program will help reduce waiting lists for inpatient care by creating a resource for youth who need more intense services than are currently available at an outpatient level.
HARTFORD, CT -- More than 1,200 Greater Hartford individuals and families who are homeless or facing homelessness will receive much needed help thanks to the work of three area nonprofit agencies and funding of more than $782,000 from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
