VITA is a program sponsored by the IRS, where trained volunteers prepare and file state and federal returns for low- and moderate-income families for free. Families who generally had an income of $55,000 or less in 2018 may qualify for additional tax credits. This year’s VITA campaign is made possible with support from the United Way of Coastal Fairfield County, Citi Community Development, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, and Near & Far Aid.
