The Fund awarded $546,750 to 19 designated nonprofits and $167,395 in donor-advised grants to nonprofits that provide essential programs and services for residents of Northwest Connecticut.

HARTFORD, CT -- The newest recipients of a $1.6 million annual college scholarship program were honored by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving this week at the Greater Hartford Arts Academy’s Theater for the Performing Arts. WASHINGTON, DC -- The 2017 federal tax overhaul could cut the number of households donating to charity by 2.6 million per year and reduce charitable giving by up to $19.1 billion per year through 2025, according to a new report. The study was commissioned by Independent Sector, a group that advocates on behalf of nonprofits, and was conducted by the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, at Indiana University.
