NEW BRITAIN - The American Savings Foundation has selected 14 city-based youth programs to receive more than $562,000 in grants. Recipients were chosen based on their contributions to providing positive youth development experiences in and out of school. More than 8,000 students will benefit from the programs during the coming school year, according to a release.

FARMINGTON, CT -- One of the many questions surrounding the pending merger between UTC and Massachusetts-headquartered Raytheon, announced almost simultaneously with this year’s Special Olympics, is what happens next year?
