Communities Advocating for Health Reform in Connecticut

HARTFORD, CT -- Connecticut Health Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of a new round of funding to support community based organizations to engage their constituencies/membership in organizing and grassroots advocacy efforts that defend and advance health reform in CT and respond to the attempts to repeal and replace the ACA. The application deadline is Friday, April 7, 2017.

Sapienza Block Grant Applications Due April 21st

NEW CANAAN, CT -- The Sapienza Scholarship Fund was established at New Canaan Community Foundation in 2006 through a bequest from the estate of Anne and Anthony Sapienza. The fund supports individual scholarship awards to benefit specific students and makes grants to nonprofit educational organizations to fund their existing or planned scholarship programs for their students or clients. Proposals must be received by Friday, April 21, 2017.

Danbury Awarded Working Cities Challenge Grant

DANBURY, CT -- Improving the lives of low-income Danbury residents is the purpose of new funding awarded to the city by the Boston Federal Reserve. Called the Working Cities Challenge Grant, it was awarded to a collaborative team led by the United Way of Western Connecticut (UWWC) and Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut (CAAWC).
