Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, New Britain Bees Partner to Support Hurricane Maria Puerto Rico Relief Fund

NEW BRITAIN, CT -- The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain (CFGNB) and New Britain Bees professional baseball club will join forces on Saturday, May 19, to raise money for victims of Hurricane Maria and to treat hundreds of New Britain school students and their family members from Puerto Rico displaced by last fall’s devastating storm to a night at the ballpark.

Close to 1,000 friends and supporters from Connecticut and beyond were part of this auspicious event held at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich.

BAD SONS Beer Co. Doing Good Deeds in the Valley for The Great Give® 2018

DERBY, CT -- Charity is on tap at BAD SONS Beer Company in Derby for The Great Give® 2018! Throughout the month of April, proceeds from the BAD SONS’ Charitable Tap Line will be going towards a “great” cause. $1 from every beer purchased from the Charity Tap Line will be going towards a prize for Valley nonprofit organizations participating in The Great Give® 2018.

Mosaic Murals Near Waterbury Green Among Ten Arts Projects Newly Funded by Connecticut Community Foundation

WATERBURY, CT -- The Greater Waterbury YMCA’s “Art by the Green” is among the projects newly funded by Connecticut Community Foundation in its latest grand round.  In total, the Foundation awarded $84,000 to ten local nonprofit organizations whose projects promote innovative and immersive arts and culture experiences in Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills.
