The Strategy Group, LLC of Darien has been retained to lead the executive transition process.

NEW CANAAN, CT -- The Sapienza Scholarship Fund was established at New Canaan Community Foundation in 2006 through a bequest from the estate of Anne and Anthony Sapienza. The fund supports individual scholarship awards to benefit specific students and makes grants to nonprofit educational organizations to fund their existing or planned scholarship programs for their students or clients. Proposals must be received by Friday, April 21, 2017.

The program is modeled, with slight variation, after a similar program offered for the last several years by the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain. The Community Chest is a supporting organization of the Community Foundation. Deadlines are March 1 and September 1, 2017.
TORRINGTON, CT -- The Women & Girls Fund of the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation invites nonprofits to apply for grants. Programs eligible for grants include those that serve women and girls in the development of economic self-sufficiency by means of education, financial literacy and social services. Applicants may request up to $5,000 for programs. The application deadline is March 8, 2017.
