Our History
In 1969, the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy (CCP) was founded in Hartford with just 7 members as the Coordinating Council for Foundations. Today CCP is the state’s association of grantmakers committed to promoting and supporting effective philanthropy for the public good. Eastern Connecticut Funder Network
Representatives of grantmaking organizations located in or funding in Eastern Connecticut meet on a regular basis to connect with and familiarize one another about issues facing grantmakers in the region, and learn about activities, initiatives and areas of philanthropic engagement.
Greater Hartford Funder Network
This group provides a forum for grantmakers who are located in or funding in the Greater Hartford region to come together, exchange information about news and topics of interest in the region.
Fairfield County Funder Network
Representatives of grantmaking organizations located in or funding in Fairfield County meet on a regular basis to connect with and familiarize one another about issues facing grantmakers in the region, and learn about activities, initiatives and areas of philanthropic engagement.
Peer Networks
Peer Networks offer Council members the opportunity to come together with funding colleagues at like organizations or with similar jobs to share best practices, information about grantmaking priorities, and current challenges and solutions.
