Many CCP members are engaged in work to support Connecticut’s undocumented communities, who are being disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 yet cannot access many response resources. Identifying how to reach and support these communities is a priority for the Governor’s emergency response team.
On this week’s call Lisa Tepper Bates, Office of the Governor, will join us to provide updates, including one on the process to complete an unmet needs assessment focused on CT’s undocumented population.
In addition, Carol O’Donnell, Executive Director of the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative, will talk about the state’s child care system – what measures have been taken to sustain it, what steps are in process, and what else will need to happen in the coming months to ensure its viability.
We would also like to provide some time for member updates and questions. If you would like to share an update or pose a question to your peers about the COVID-19 response, please email Karla Fortunato by Friday morning. We will include as many as we can on this week’s call, and can include any we don’t have time for on the next check-in call.
