The 2016 election outcome has left many immigrants and refugees—and second- and third-generation U.S. citizens—living in uncertainty and fear. With the potential of deporting millions of unauthorized immigrants, cancelling Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and suspending refugee resettlement from “terror-prone” countries, proposed policies can have a devastating impact on our economy, tear apart families, and radically reshape our communities.

The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, Immigration Strategic Funders Collaborative of Connecticut and Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees (GCIR) partneried for an informational webinar to ground Connecticut funders in the immediate concerns facing immigrant and refugee communities and identify what funders can do now to support these communities and the organizations that serve them.

In this recorded webinar, learn how local nonprofits are responding and the strategies that Connecticut and national funders are using to support immigrant communities in this new landscape.
