Part of what makes me so proud to work at Comcast NBCUniversal is the commitment to making the communities where we work and live better. In a few weeks, on Saturday, May 4, we’ll celebrate that commitment with one of our company’s best days of the year – Comcast Cares Day. It’s a tradition that has grown into one of the largest corporate commitments to volunteerism. Last year, more than 115,000 volunteers pitched in to make change happen at schools and playgrounds, community centers and neighborhoods around the world. It also gives families a chance to demonstrate the importance of giving back at an early age – last year one in four volunteers were under the age of 18.
We have a number of great projects planned locally in Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and Western Massachusetts You can use your Facebook or Gmail account or set up your own account to register directly at comcastinthecommunity.com.
If you wish to bring a group of volunteers, I will need your help to collect wavier forms for all your volunteers (scan/email them to me), enter the information from the volunteer forms you collect into the organization upload document and completed the community partner profile form. Completion of all these documents will ensure that all volunteers you bring are credited to the organization you represent. If you can please return all documents to me by April 24, if not before, it will ensure that all the information is uploaded into the volunteer portal. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
We look forward to rolling up our sleeves with you on Comcast Cares Day. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #ComcastCaresDay on social media to share how you’ll be participating this year.
Thanks,
Brad
