The Aurora Women's Giving Circle announces a grant opportunity for organizations based in Greater Hartford. The Aurora Women's Giving Circle, established by the Aurora Foundation in 2016, brings together a diverse group of women who pool their resources, are educated about critical needs in the community, and through a democratic process grant funds to one or more organizations supporting women and girls in Greater Hartford.
The Giving Circle's 2018 focus area is middle school-aged girls and grant funds will serve to augment a program based in Greater Hartford that addresses the academic, social and/or emotional needs of this population. $6,500 in grant funds will be awarded through a competitive grant process.
To be eligible for a grant from the Aurora Women and Girls Foundation's Women's Giving Circle, your organization must meet the following guidelines:
- Your organization must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status; or must be a governmental, educational or research institution with tax-exempt status.
- Your grant proposal must be for a program based in Greater Hartford that impacts the academic, social and/or emotional needs of middle school-aged girls.
- Request should not exceed the available grant funds of $6,500.
