SOUTHINGTON, CT -- Almost 400 high school students from central Connecticut were recipients of Robert T. Kenney scholarships. The scholarships were awarded by the American Savings Foundation Tuesday night. In all, $780,000 in scholarships were awarded.

MIDDLETOWN, CT -- The Rockfall Foundation has recently begun a multiyear renovation effort to preserve its 1790s deKoven House headquarters and potentially open up even more available office space for environmentally-focused nonprofit organizations. Rockfall recently received a $10,700 grant from the 1772 Foundation and Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation that, with a required match from the organization, will pay for masonry work, painting and other exterior repairs.

(August 3, 2017) — United Way of Western Connecticut (UWWC) is proud to announce that volunteers in the SAVE (Seniors Add Valuable Experience) Program have completed 7,019 hours in the last year, service that is valued at $205,586 to the city of Danbury. This year, 47 seniors volunteered at 23 City of Danbury departments and nonprofit agencies located in the city.
