HARTFORD, CT -- The MetroHartford Alliance announced David Griggs, CEcD, EDFP, as its new President and CEO, effective March 12. Mr. Griggs succeeds Oz Griebel, who stepped down as President and CEO at the end of 2017 after 16 years of service and leadership, and Nancy Wheeler, who is serving as Interim President and CEO. Ms. Wheeler will reassume her role as Senior Vice President.
Most recently, Mr. Griggs served as Vice President, Business Investment and Research at the Greater Minneapolis St. Paul (MSP) Regional Economic Development Partnership, a private-public nonprofit organization accelerating job growth and capital investment in 16 counties. Mr. Griggs led business outreach as well as the research efforts of the organization and commissioned several studies highlighting the business and talent assets of the MSP region with the purpose of attracting and retaining jobs and investment.
