HARTFORD, CT -- The Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) has announced what amounts to a welcome gift for its incoming leader, former State Senator Beth Bye, named by Gov. Lamont two weeks ago to head the state agency. Just days ahead of Lamont’s inauguration, OEC said it had been awarded an $8,591,087 federal grant – funds intended to enable the state to design and launch better, more cost-effective systems serving families with young children.

When the beloved Dr. Fletcher’s life was unexpectedly cut short in 1982 at age 60 following a heart attack, a seed was planted to one day honor the legacy of a man who cared deeply for his hometown and the people who lived here.

NEW YORK, NY -- Performances begin January 10 at Atlantic Theater Company's Stage 2 for the world premiere of Eddie and Dave by playwright-in-residence Amy Staats. Staats is Atlantic Theater Company's 2017–2018 playwright in residence. Eddie and Dave is the capstone of her yearlong residency, supported by The Tow Foundation.

BROOKLYN, NY -- Thanks to a generous gift from the Class of 1964, the portrait of a young woman now hangs with 12 other paintings restored to their former vibrancy in the new Leonard & Claire Tow Center for the Performing Arts, part of the exhibit “A New Deal for Artists: Connecting Brooklyn College to Its Past, Present, and Future.”
