FARMINGTON, CT -- Farmington Bank continued its long tradition of holiday giving, but this year added a twist. Farmington Bank employees delivered wish list items and gift cards, surprising one area nonprofit organization each business day from December 1 through 15.
Donations were purchased, packed and delivered by Farmington Bank employees to the following organizations in Connecticut and Massachusetts: A Hand Up; Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity; Gifts of Love; Interval House; Hockanum Valley Community Council; Mercy Housing and Shelter; My Sisters’ Place; The Open Hearth; Plainville Community Food Pantry; Prudence Crandall Center; and Saint Agnes Home.
Over 100 Farmington Bank employees participated in the holiday giving program. Their total donations included close to $1,000 in gift cards and dozens of boxes filled with toys, small appliances, clothes, toiletries, cleaning and laundry products, food, towels, sheet sets, and much more.
