Public Invited to Donate Warmth Goods to Benefit The Salvation Army
FARMINGTON, CT -- Farmington Bank today announced it is partnering with 102.9 The Whale to host a “Warmth Drive” in February by collecting new hats, scarves, socks, coats and gloves for donation to The Salvation Army.
“This time of year can be very challenging for those who do not have the means to appropriately protect themselves from winter’s elements. It’s incumbent upon us to help those less fortunate to stay warm and safe during these months,” said John Patrick, chairman, president and CEO of Farmington Bank.
The public is invited to drop off new hats, scarves, socks, coats and gloves for any age group at the following Farmington Bank locations through February 28:
310 West Main Street, Avon, CT
1845 Farmington Ave, Unionville, CT
135 Talcottville Road, Vernon, CT
In addition, The Whale Street Team will be on hand to greet the public at these Farmington Bank branch offices on the following dates, from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
February 16 at 310 West Main Street, Avon, CT
February 23 at 1845 Farmington Avenue, Unionville, CT
March 2 at 135 Talcottville Road, Vernon, CT
The Farmington Bank/102.9 The Whale Warmth Month is the first of a year-long series of monthly community outreach programs that will occur at various Farmington Bank branch offices in Connecticut:
“Last year, our community outreach with 102.9 The Whale included flu shot clinics and food drives which were well-participated and well-received. We look forward to working together to expand our community-focused programs in 2018,” said Patrick.
