NORWALK, CT - Stepping Stones Museum, Children’s Learning Centers of Connecticut (CLC), Filling in the Blanks, and Wholesome Wave are proud to announce their new collaboration titled Fueling Families. This five-week pilot program provides food, nutrition education and literacy support services for preschoolers in need in Stamford and Norwalk. Support for the pilot program came from: Ritter Family Foundation, Aiello Charitable Foundation, Ernest and Joan Trefz Foundation, Grace J. Fippinger Foundation, Rita and Leo Greenland Foundation, George A. and Grace L. Long Foundation, FactSet, Fairfield County Bank, First County Bank Foundation, Nestle Waters, People’s United Community Foundation, General Re, Palmer’s Darien, Bigelow Tea, and Bob’s Discount Furniture.

ENFIELD, CT -- Starting this fall, Asnuntuck Community College students will be able to connect with health and wellness professionals on the school’s 170 Elm St. campus. With a $25,000 grant it recently received from the Connecticut Health Foundation, the college plans to establish a “health and wellness hub” where students can connect with acommunity health care providers.

HARTFORD, CT -- With the support of up to $2.1 million (depending on number of students participating) from the City of Hartford (up to $1,000,000), the State of Connecticut/Connecticut Department of Labor (up to $696,000), and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving (up to $526,000), the 2019 Summer Youth Employment Learning Program will serve more than 1,000 participants in Hartford and up to 1,500 throughout the region.

HARTFORD, CT -- Charitable giving in Connecticut remained flat in 2016, the most recent year on record, although the number of individual donors continued to fall, new data show. Total charitable giving in Connecticut for the year totaled $4.97 billion, compared with $5 billion in 2015, according to the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy’s (CCP) latest “Connecticut Giving Report.”
