Join co-hosts the CT Council for Philanthropy and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving for a special briefing focused on Hartford. In this program, we’ll share exclusive analysis of Connecticut’s use of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) in the Greater Hartford area, and a look at opportunities for Hartford philanthropy to make greater impact.
Earlier this year, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving commissioned a report from The Philanthropic Initiative (TPI, in partnership with Intersect Public Solutions, IPS) to provide research and analysis of the state of Connecticut’s use and investment of ARPA funds and how other funders are responding to ARPA in their regions. Like many in the philanthropic sector, the Foundation knew it was important to understand more deeply how the state and municipalities are investing ARPA resources, how the state’s use of funds aligned with the Foundation’s giving, and where there are gaps and important opportunities for philanthropy.
In this special funder briefing, consultants from TPI and IPS will share their findings and analysis and provide crucial insight into the state’s plan for ARPA funds specifically in the Hartford area. We’ll also provide opportunity for discussion of potential implications for philanthropy, and to explore next steps for philanthropy in Hartford.
Who this is for: Staff and trustees of grantmaking institutions interested in understanding the state’s plans for ARPA funds specifically related to the Greater Hartford area.
This will be a 90-minute program featuring a briefing and presentation by The Philanthropic Initiative and IPS, followed by Q&A and group discussions.
Speakers include:
- Liz Donohue, IPS
- Lisa Payne Simon, Partner, TPI
- Leslie Pine, Managing Partner, TPI
- Brian Durand, President, IPS
