Come learn about the expanded tax credits and the potential roles and strategies for philanthropy.
The expansions of the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit included in the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) represent a historic opportunity. If we are successful in getting these credits to the lowest-income families, we can reduce child poverty in our state by almost half.
Funders can play an important role in helping raise awareness about the expansions and working with grantees and community leaders to ensure that every eligible family gets enrolled. Foundations across the country are engaging in creative strategies to make sure their partners are elevating this important opportunity.
Ami Nagle, Director, EITC Funders Network will present an overview of the expanded tax credits and the roles philanthropy can play.
