LEAP Finds Money To Fix The Roof

NEW HAVEN, CT -- Patches won’t fix LEAP’s roof. But a new $75,000 grant will. The grant is coming from the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority (CHEFA). LEAP (Leadership, Education and Athletics in Partnership) is a leading after-school and summer education and rec program for city kids.

Legal Aid Nonprofit Receives 15K Grant

NEW HAVEN, CT -- A grant from The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven will increase legal support for nonprofits in the tri-state area. Pro Bono Partnership — a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting tri-state region nonprofits to free legal services from volunteer lawyers — received a $15,000 grant from the Foundation last month.... Hartford Among Five Connecticut Cities Winning Grants In 'Working Cities Challenge'

HARTFORD, CT -- Hartford is among five cities in Connecticut to win a competition for grants of $450,000 that will fund programs focused on increasing opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents.  In addition to Hartford, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston will announce Tuesday that Danbury, East Hartford, Middletown and Waterbury were selected as winners of the “Working Cities Challenge.”
