Men & Boys’ Fund Supports Bristol Youth Services
BRISTOL, CT -- On Tuesday, November 28th Bristol Youth Services was awarded a $2,000 grant to support the Skills to Pay the Bills program. The grant from the Men & Boys’ Fund at Main Street Community Foundation will expand the program, which has been offered to young women for the past 10 years, to include young men attending Bristol Public Schools.
YMCA of Greater Hartford Receives Grant from Black Giving Circle at Hartford Foundation to Support Youth Financial Literacy
HARTFORD, CT -- In an effort to promote financial literacy learning for black youth in Hartford, the YMCA of Metropolitan Hartford has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Black Giving Circle at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to support financial literacy programming offered to over 200 youth participating in YMCA programs.

HARTFORD, CT -- Three Connecticut foundations, the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, Hampshire Foundation and Common Sense Fund, are helping to make Connecticut more sustatainable. WASHINGTON, DC -- Financial site WalletHub ranked all 50 states by how much they donate and volunteer. Criteria includes volunteer hours per capita, share of population raising funds, share of income donated and public charities per capita among other indicators. Connecticut ranks number eleven overall withe specially high marks in "percent of population that donated" and "charities per capita."

BRISTOL, CT -- Kimberly Selvaggi and John Sperduti spoke at the Men & Boys’ Fund’s community meeting on the needs of local men and boys. The meeting, held at Southington’s Hawk’s Landing Country Club on November 14th, introduced the Men & Boys’ Fund, a newly established fund at Main Street Community Foundation that works to improve the quality of life of local men and boys and help them make a positive difference in their communities.
