As grantmakers working to tackle inequality, it is important that we build a shared understanding and a set of tools to speak openly about racial bias and inequity, and their deep roots in our history, culture and institutions.
The Connecticut Council for Philanthropy, in partnership with Race Forward, presents Building Racial Equity with Race Forward, a one-day workshop designed to help grantmakers gain the tools and resources to work towards racial equity in both internal and external organizational work. This interactive training is for those who wish to build their skills and strategies to address structural racism and advance racial equity. Unlike diversity trainings which primarily focus on interpersonal relations and understanding, the Building Racial Equity trainings emphasize how to challenge and change institutional racial inequities. Join CCP members for this full-day, in-depth training on racial equity.
