Goya Foods Donates to Hartford Relief Center

HARTFORD, CT -- Thanks to Goya Foods, Inc. and its Goya Gives campaign, displaced families served by Hartford's the Centro de Ayuda Para Nuestros Amigos Caribeños (Relief Center for our Caribbean Friends) had a reason to celebrate the new year. The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) manages the relief center, which opened on November 1. The Latino Endowment Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving was instrumental in securing the
generous donation from Goya Foods.

CHEFA Grant Goes to Wheeler Clinic for Dental Care Access

HARTFORD, CT -- On November 15, 2017, the Connecticut Health and Education Facilities Authority (CHEFA) Board voted to award a grant in the amount of $75,000 to Wheeler Clinic to expand critical dental care access for low-income Hartford patients at their new Family Health & Wellness Center on Woodland Street.

An Obscure Tax Law Might Force Newman's Own to Put Itself Up for Sale
