COVID-19 Response Fund Grants as of April 21

BRANFORD, CT -- The Branford Community Foundation established the COVID-19 Response Fund for Branford in March as soon as it became clear that this virus would significantly impact our community. The initial goal was to raise $20,000 to provide immediate, short-term financial relief to individuals who live or work in the Town of Branford through the Women & Family Life Center. As of April 16, thanks to the community's generosity, the fund has secured $128,611.

Foundation reports response fund activity

WATERBURY, CT -- A COVID-19 Response Fund, established by the Connecticut Community Foundation and United Way of Greater Waterbury less than a month ago, is responding to people’s needs. Each non-profit organization added $50,000 to start the fund, so that local organizations could submit and receive grants in a timeframe that is condensed to days instead of weeks or even months.

CHEFA Announces FY 2021 COVID-19 Grant Program

HARTFORD, CT -- At the April 15, 2020 board meeting, the Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority (CHEFA) Board of Directors approved the replacement of their typical three grant cycles (Client, Nonprofit, Targeted) for FY 2021 to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
