Individuals Most Disproportionately Impacted by COVID-19 To Benefit from First Round of Grants
TORRINGTON, CT -- The Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, with help from local donors and fundholders, has made an initial pledge of $470,000 in support of emergency needs in Northwest Connecticut.

MERIDEN, CT -- Two local YMCAs are participating in a new state-led initiative to provide child care for children of hospital employees and first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Southington/Cheshire Y awaits funding from the state, the Main Street Community Foundation has donated $25,000 to get the child care services up and running.
HARTFORD, CT -- John B. Larson Healthcare Worker Nourishment Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving will contribute to organizations that provide onsite, on-the-job nourishment and sustenance to those health care workers who are treating and caring for people impacted by the COVID-19 global pandemic at hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Connecticut’s First Congressional District.
