NEW HAVEN, CT -- Three weeks after distributing its first round of grants totaling $600,900, the Greater New Haven COVID-19 Community Fund has released a second round of grants totaling $677,000 to 36 organizations.

NEW CANAAN, CT -- New Canaan Community Foundation is overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and overall generosity of New Canaan residents to its COVID-19 Response Fund. Since the fund's launch on March 18th, more than $415,000 of private contributions have been donated to support the emergency financial needs of New Canaan families and workers; help nonprofit organizations adapt to changing client needs, as well as shifts in operations; and support critical services in lower Fairfield County.

WATERBURY, CT -- Give Local Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills, an online giving event hosted by Connecticut Community Foundation for the eighth year, concluded a 36-hour flurry of giving at 7 p.m. on April 22 raising a record breaking $1.8 million.

NEW LONDON, CT -- The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut announces that the “Request for Proposal” (RFP) for the Neighbors for Neighbors Fund will be open on Monday, April 27, 2020. Grants from this fund are available to organizations serving the basic needs of residents of the Foundation’s 42-town region. The application deadline is 5 pm on Friday, May 8, 2020.

ENFIELD, CT -- The Enfield Food Shelf has received a $25,000 grant that will help it increase services for those in need as the community deals with the impact, financial and otherwise, of the novel coronavirus pandemic.The grant is part of the third round of funding from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, which launched the COVID-19 Response Fund in March.
