HARTFORD, CT -- Nearly $1 million in federal support for food, emergency shelters, and homeless prevention services has been awarded to 25 non-profits and municipalities in Hartford County, according to United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.

In addition to the volunteers’ time, Bank of America (BOA) also provided $60,000 in funding to the Habitat chapters.
