HARTFORD, CT -- Nearly $1 million in federal support for food, emergency shelters, and homeless prevention services has been awarded to 25 non-profits and municipalities in Hartford County, according to United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut.

HARTFORD, CT -- More than 1,400 Greater Hartford individuals and families who are homeless or facing homelessness will receive much needed help thanks to the work of five area nonprofit agencies and funding of more than $924,000 from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Bank of America has named Columbus House as its 2018 Neighborhood Builder® grant recipient in Southern Connecticut. Columbus House was selected for its work in assisting those experiencing homelessness in the region by providing not only shelter and housing, but also by offering a comprehensive array of services designed to help people identify and overcome those issues that contributed to their homelessness.
HARTFORD, CT -- With a $125,000 grant from the Connecticut Health Foundation, the Open Communities Alliance will work to create better links between housing and health care and set the stage for a two-year pilot program to enable interested families of children with acute asthma to move to healthier neighborhoods.
