Join your colleagues in a workshop that will guide foundation staff and trustees to improve their interpretation of nonprofit financial statements.

The Linking Money to Mission workshop will benefit executive directors, trustees, program and finance administration staff, board treasurers and finance committee members. The program will include both lecture and group participation and will address:

  • How nonprofit finance differs from the for-profit sector

  • How to identify essential financial data in nonprofit financial statements

  • How to apply an understanding of nonprofit finance to your grantmaking analysis

  • How a funder’s support can affect financial scenarios

Presenters:

Rodney Christopher, vice president, special projects

Jessica LaBarbera, associate director, Northeast region

The Nonprofit Finance Fund’s Services for Funders practice helps the funding community understand the intricate dynamics of nonprofit finance and use financial information as a platform to engage grantees in meaningful and open conversation about their needs, opportunities and challenges so that grantmakers can make decisions that best support organization missions while honoring the foundation’s funding priorities.

Partial support for this program has been graciously provided by the Jeniam Foundation.
